World of Warcraft has now occupied a part of my life for three years.
No, I am not one of those people that plays hours each day, let alone every day.
But I do enjoy the game and am eagerly anticipating the next expansion set titled “Wrath of the Lich King”.
Apparantly I am not alone.
There are now over 9,000,000 people around the world who play World of Warcraft.
The fact of the matter is that this game is near-perfect, combining adventurous discovery, epic questing, beautiful art direction, and… well… just plain fun!
I’ve already capped out a warrior at level 70, have a Priest at 63 and am now playing my Rogue, who is presently a level 49. His name is Emongami (read it backwards) and he resides on the Terenas server, should anyone want to look me up.
Anyhow, Wrath of the Lich King is not due until next November, so there will be a significant wait.
The expansion will open up an entirely new continent, Northrend, with many new distinct zones containing new enemies, cities, quests, loot, dungeons and gear. And who can forget the ability to set new hair styles for your characters? (Ok, I could probably do without this one…)
Blizzard has done an incredible job of dangling the carrot on a stick in front of our collective noses, and we are biting.
It’s a guilty pleasure, so while I wait for the expansion I will continue raiding, questing and upgrading my gear with phat loot. ;-)
All in a day’s work for an Internet entrepreneur!
